In 1 Week I will be running the Munich Marathon!
Although it has been on my bucket list to run a Marathon for a long time, the actual decision to commit to this one was very spontaneous.
I was starting to run almost every day, and I was thinking about things I could do to force myself to commit to improve in my running. So I hopped on Google and 5 minutes later I had signed up to my first marathon!
This was only 6 weeks ago! But since then I have been training every day, I have more than doubled the maximum distance run in one go, and although it has been tough, it has been an amazing journey so far... I am completely hooked into Running!
So my goal for the marathon is to run it in under 4 Hours, my race plan will get me to the finish line in 03:45, and I am excited!
I will be running a Negative split race, which means actually speeding up as I go.
The reason for this is that it has been proven to be more effective, since most people waste too much energy running really fast at the start when they get caught up in the adrenaline and atmosphere.
I will be cautious of that, and then I will hopefully have enough energy and strength from training to "sail through the rest of the race".
Lets do this!
What is something that you have been preparing for?
What do you think?
Let me know in the comments, I'd love to hear from you.
Thank you for reading,
Have a great day my Friend,
Peace,
Niklas
